Telesail CFP2 100GBASE-ER4 transceivers are designed for 100 Gigabit Ethernet and 4x28G OTN OTU4 links over 40km kilometers on standard single-mode  (SMF, G.652) fiber with duplex LC interface, and it fully compliant to the CFP2 MSA and IEEE 802.3ba 100GBASE-ER4, and compliant with OTU4. 

It is running at four WDM optical wavelengths (around 1310nm), multiplexing them into a single channel for 100Gbps optical transmission. On the receiver side, the module optically de-multiplexes the 100Gbps ER4 inputs into 4 WDM channels, converts them to electrical data. The module is a multi-rate optical transceiver with data rate up to 28Gbps per channel. The central wavelengths of the WDM channels are 1295.56nm, 1300.05nm, 1304.58nm and 1309.14nm according to the IEEE ER4 recommendation according to the IEEE ER4 recommendation. The transceiver is RoHS-6 compliant and lead-free per Directive 2002/95/EC.

Digital diagnostics are available via MDIO interface as specified in the CFP2 MSA Management Interface Specification. The CFP2 uses pins in the electrical connector to instantiate the MDIO interface.The high-performance cooled LAN-WDM EML integrated TOSA/ROSA provide superior performance for Telecom and Datacom applications up to 40km reach.
